Softball Preview: Freeport Bulldogs vs. Central Jaguars        
        
		
            
 Freeport has been on the road for three straight, but  on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Central Jaguars at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Freeport is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game this season.
 On Thursday, Freeport made easy work of Destin  and carried off  a  17-1 victory. That looming  17-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Freeport yet this  season.
  Lemay Sullivan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned run off   two  hits. Sullivan was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Corissa Duggar was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs.  Kayla Stephens was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of six wins, Central's good fortune finally ran out  on Monday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 23-8 walloping at the hands of Freeport.
  Chloe Lowery and  Addie Grace Holland stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Lowery  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while  Holland  went 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Kylie Goodale, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 Freeport's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.0 runs per game. As for Central, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-3.
 Monday's   contest will be a test for both team's pitchers. Freeport hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .383. However, it's not like Central struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .500. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
