Soccer Recap: Metter's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Claxton, Metter was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Atkinson County Rebels by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for Metter: when they faced off against Atkinson County back in February, they had to take a 4-0 defeat.

Metter's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Atkinson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Metter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Atkinson County, they will challenge Cook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atkinson County are facing Cook at the right time seeing as Cook are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
