Soccer Game Preview: Bogue Chitto vs. Lawrence County

Bogue Chitto is 2-8 against Lawrence County since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bobcats will be playing at home against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bogue Chitto is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals last Thursday, they were much more limited against Loyd Star last Friday. They lost 5-0 to the Hornets.

Meanwhile, Lawrence County came up short against Wesson on Thursday, falling 6-1.

The Cougars' goal came courtesy of Wender Recinos, who's now up to 15 this season.

Lawrence County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Bogue Chitto, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Bogue Chitto suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Lawrence County in their previous meeting back in November of 2025. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bobcats were down 3-0.
