Recap: Highland Rim Academy vs. Christian Community Colts
If Highland Rim Academy were riding high off their 55-31 takedown of the Pleasant View Christian Warriors last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Highland Rim Academy was dealt a 58-31 loss at the hands of Christian Community on Saturday. Highland Rim Academy has not had much luck with Christian Community recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Christian Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A.C. Caverly, who scored 14 points. The matchup was Caverly's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Rigsby, who scored 9 points along with 6 steals.
Highland Rim Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Christian Community, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Highland Rim Academy will head out on the road to face off against Lancaster Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Community will be home for the holidays to greet Pleasant View Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
