Powell County won the last time they faced Jackson City and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Pirates have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Powell County's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Jackson City, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Powell County beat the Tigers by a score of 12-2 later that day.
