Volleyball Recap: Arbor View Takes Down Ranked Somerset Sky Pointe

On Thursday, Arbor View faced Somerset Sky Pointe in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Arbor View Aggies were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Aggies this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 25-22.

Cooper Ball paced Arbor View's offense, picking up six kills. Ball got some help from Eric Veith and his 12 assists. Harrison Baldwin controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Arbor View's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arbor View will take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 6:00 p.m. on March 13th.
