Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central lost against Imperial on October 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The shutout was out of character for the Spartans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

While Central had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Sara Morales paced Central's offense, picking up five kills. Morales got some help from Rhyanna Velazco and her eight assists.

Imperial can attribute much of their success to Ashlyn Tucker, who had five digs and two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 21-16. As for Imperial, their victory bumped their record up to 21-17.

As of now, neither Central nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
