C.J. Gauff of Bellevue West is the Nebraska High School Football Player of the Week

Senior running back found the end zone three times in win over Papillion-LaVista South.

After receiving over 26,000 votes, C.J. Gauff of Bellevue West (Bellevue) is the MaxPreps Nebraska High School Football Player of the Week.

Gauff, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound senior, ran for 186 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries in a 49-28 win over Papillion-LaVista South. He has over nearly 900 all-purpose yards this season and 11 TDs.

Here are the rest of this week's candidates:

* Maverick Binder, Auburn: Senior carried 29 times for 174 yards and five touchdowns in a 34-32 win over Nebraska City.



* Conor Booth, Bishop Neumann (Wahoo): Junior running back ran for 270 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries in a 12-0 win over David City Aquinas.

* Maddex Egger, Aurora: Senior back carried 41 times for 297 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-27 win over Central City.

* Evan Hansen, Millard North (Omaha): Senior signal caller carried 21 times for 152 yards and a touchdown while also throwing for a score in a 21-10 win over Lincoln Southwest.

* Dawson Kissinger / Quinn Rosno, St. Cecilia (Hastings): Senior duo combined to run for 371 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries in a 47-19 win over Doniphan-Trumbull. Kissinger raced for an even 200 yards and all four scores while Rosno gained 171 yards on 17 carries.

* Derek Line, Lakeview (Columbus): Senior ran for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 28 carries in a  42-14 win over crosstown rival Scotus Central Catholic.



* Cooper Torell, Lincoln Christian (Lincoln): Freshman carried 26 times for 169 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-42 win over Syracuse.

* Dominic Vercillino, Plattsmouth: Senior running back ran for 193 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in a 48-7 win over Ralston.

* Isaiah Weber, Gretna: Senior carried 32 times for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 31-14 win over Lincoln East.
