Softball Recap: Central Cabarrus Vikings vs. Pisgah Bears        
        
		
            
 It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central Cabarrus can now relate to. They took  a  9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pisgah Bears on Tuesday. Central Cabarrus' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
  Rachel Pressley led a balanced group of hitters,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Peyton Smith, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 On Pisgah's side,  Sadie Messer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. Messer has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Savannah Dickerson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaiden Smith, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Central Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Pisgah, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record  this season.
 Central Cabarrus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pisgah, they will face off against Kings Mountain on Friday. Kings Mountain is coming into the  match with 11 straight  victories on the road,  so Pisgah will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
