Softball Recap: Minico Takes a Loss

Minico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-7 to the Bonneville Bees. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 19-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Akiely Gomez and Madi Fowler did some serious damage despite the final result: Gomez went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Fowler scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Minico now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bonneville, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

While Minico had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
