Basketball Recap: Oceanside Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Oceanside extended their home winning streak to 12 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Zeb Foster. The Oceanside Mariners sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over the Lincoln Academy Eagles on Thursday thanks in part to Foster, who posted 28 points and six rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Kingsbury, who had ten points. Kingsbury is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Oceanside now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lincoln Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oceanside will welcome Hampden at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oceanside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season. As for Lincoln Academy, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Lincoln Academy Eagles face off against the Mountain Valley Falcons at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln Academy is facing Mountain Valley at the right time seeing as Mountain Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
