West Aurora waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 41-30 victory over the Glenbard South Raiders. The win was all the more spectacular given the Blackhawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Raiders are ranked 50th).

West Aurora pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for Glenbard South, their loss ended a 19-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 25-3.

Looking ahead, West Aurora will challenge Neuqua Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Aurora is facing Neuqua Valley at the right time seeing as Neuqua Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Glenbard South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
