Basketball Game Preview: Field Falcons vs. Ravenna Ravens

Field is 2-8 against Ravenna since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Field Falcons take on the Ravenna Ravens at 7:00 p.m. Field will be strutting in after a victory while Ravenna will be coming in after a loss.

Field is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match two weeks ago with ease, bagging a 76-40 win over Garfield. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ravenna played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Crestwood 78-44. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 695th, while the Red Devils are ranked 106th).

Ravenna dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Field, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Field was able to grind out a solid victory over Ravenna in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 63-50. Will Field repeat their success, or does Ravenna have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
