After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pace, Pine Forest was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the Escambia Gators with a 14-8 victory. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 14-13 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pine Forest's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. Trent Henderson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks and making seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Pine Forest picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Escambia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Coming up, Pine Forest will take on West Florida at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Escambia, they will square off against Tate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: James Simpson and Tanner Clark.
