Knox took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They put the hurt on the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays with a sharp 10-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Redskins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Addison Sponaugle was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Karleigh Friedrich, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Knox always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Judson-San Pierre only posted an OBP of .125.
Looking ahead, North Judson-San Pierre will venture away from home to square off against Westville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Knox will be paying especially close attention to the Bluejays' match: after the Bluejays faces off against the Blackhawks, they'll take on Knox again at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
