Basketball Recap: Morse Wins Going Away Against Maine Central Institute

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oceanside, Morse was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They strolled past the Maine Central Institute Huskies with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. For the Shipbuilders, this counts as revenge for the 29-20 win the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Morse's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Maine Central Institute, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

When Morse and Maine Central Institute next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Morse will try to stop Erskine Academy's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maine Central Institute will face off against Mount View and their eight-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
