Baseball Game Preview: Massapequa Chiefs vs. Ketcham Storm

The Massapequa Chiefs will face off against the Ketcham Storm at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Massapequa 3.2, Ketcham 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Massapequa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Sunday. They never let Connetquot get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The game marked the Chiefs' most dominant victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Dinello, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Those RBI were his first of the season. John Neary was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ketcham entered their tilt with Pine Bush on Sunday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Bushmen by a score of 4-1.

Nick Mondesando was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

The win made it two in a row for Massapequa and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Ketcham, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.
