Basketball Game Preview: Staunton Bulldogs vs. Mt. Olive Wildcats

The Staunton Bulldogs will square off against the Mt. Olive Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Staunton is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Carlinville just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 42-35 to the Cavaliers. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Olive was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 59-33 to Brownstown. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.

Staunton's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2. As for Mt. Olive, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
