Basketball Recap: Dexter Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Dexter hadn't done well against Ruidoso recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Dexter Demons took down the Ruidoso Warriors 49-32. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 33-29 back in December of 2024.

Dexter pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points over those games. As for Ruidoso, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will challenge New Mexico Military Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ruidoso, they will take on Tularosa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
