Basketball Recap: KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Comes Up Short

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate was the 45-44 winner over Carver when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 57-39 to the Carver Panthers.

Carver's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amiyah Floyd, who posted 19 points. Floyd's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Tarrianna Jackson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Carver, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-36 win against Coretta Scott King YWLA on the 29th. As for Carver, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-27 loss against Holy Innocents Episcopal on the 31st.
