League recap: Wagoner extends winning streak with victory over Cleveland

Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A District 3 this week, Wagoner beat Cleveland 28-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.

Miami and Vinita played the closest game in the league this week, with Miami eventually emerging with a 32-27 victory. Sawyer Pooler threw for 184 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 82 yards during the win.

The Wardogs' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Pooler chipped in 82 yards. Josh Arnold helped Miami's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 67 yards.

Miami's dynamic duo of Pooler and Braden Hessee proved to be unstoppable against the Hornets, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Arnold helped Miami's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 67 yards.

He was 14-24 with 2 interceptions.

On the heels of Derek Reeves and Dakota Hewitt, the Tigers have had great success on offense. Reeves leads the league in passing with 1,111 yards, while Hewitt has rushed for 885 yards this season. James Cheatham's team's Ty Mercer leads the league in receiving yards with 490 on 29 catches.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Catoosa takes on Cleveland. At the moment, the Indians are in second, while Dale Anderson's team is in fifth.

Catoosa led 4A District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Webster.
