Volleyball Recap: Clay County Comes Up Short

Clay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Laurel Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Tuesday.

Clay County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for South Laurel, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Clay County will be playing at home against Williamsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Laurel, they will square off against Whitley County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
