Flag Football Recap: LaFayette Find Success

There's no place like home for LaFayette, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Ringgold Tigers 25-24. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Ramblers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Leading LaFayette to victory were Prezleigh Baty and Emma Brown. Baty rushed for 141 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, while Brown picked up 76 receiving yards and three TDs. What's more, Brown racked up 11 rushing yards, the most she's had over her last six matchups.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to LaFayette's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brown, Scout Taylor, and Ashley Perdomo, who each picked up one sack apiece.

LaFayette's record is now 4-9. As for Ringgold, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

LaFayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ringgold, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 28-0 defeat against Heritage on the 20th.
