Basketball Game Preview: Rochester Zebras vs. Manchester Squires

The Rochester Zebras will head out on the road to square off against the Manchester Squires at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rochester will head into Saturday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 32) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Lewis Cass 34-32.

Rochester's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylee Clevenger, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Mccarter, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Manchester, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 39-38 victory over North Miami.

Rochester is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Manchester, they pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Rochester came up short against Manchester in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 55-47. Can Rochester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
