Basketball Recap: Octavien Cardenas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Washington County over Frankfort

Washington County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 61-35 to the Frankfort Wildcats. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.

Washington County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Octavien Cardenas, who posted nine points.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Frankfort, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Washington County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-52 loss against Onaga on the 23rd. As for Frankfort, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-47 defeat against Centralia on the 20th.
