Volleyball Game Preview: Clear Creek Wildcats vs. Clear Lake Falcons + Official Tickets

Clear Creek is a perfect 10-0 against Clear Lake since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Clear Creek will be strutting in after a victory while Clear Lake will be coming in after a loss.

Clear Creek had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Clear Brook on Friday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Clear Creek won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-17, 25-18.

Elissa James and Tristen Golden were among the main playmakers for Clear Creek as the former had 14 digs and five assists and the latter had 12 digs and one assist. James is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Meanwhile, Clear Lake didn't have quite enough to beat Deer Park on Friday and fell 3-2.

Clear Lake actually scored more points across those five sets (101-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 16-25, 12-25, 15-10.

Clear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 25-14. As for Clear Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-17 record this season.

Clear Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Clear Lake when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Falcons' Natalie Herlambang, who had 19 digs and six assists.
