Basketball Recap: Carroll Christian Comes Up Short

Carroll Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 90-27 loss at the hands of the GVCS Broadfording Lions. Carroll Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead GVCS Broadfording to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camari White, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave White a new career-high in points. Fernando Garcia was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 15 points and six steals.

Carroll Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for GVCS Broadfording, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll Christian will venture away from home to square off against Jemicy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for GVCS Broadfording, they will head out to challenge Heritage Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
