Salinas had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Menlo School Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cowboys have posted since September 16th.

Menlo School's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Allison Yu, who had three digs and three aces, and Ava Wang, who had 18 digs. Wang has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played. Mia Bowers also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Salinas' win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Menlo School, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Coincidentally, Salinas and Menlo School will both be playing Sequoia the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Ravens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cowboys will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
