Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Raymondville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a blow against the London Pirates on Thursday, falling 81-50. The Bearkats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Ac Carpentier, who went 9-for-18 to rack up 27 points and six rebounds for London. Carpentier's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Maddox Jennings, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 13 points.

Raymondville's loss dropped their record down to 21-10. As for London, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 31-5.

Raymondville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for London, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-80 defeat against Columbus on the 25th.
