Basketball Recap: Birdville Comes Up Short

Birdville lost against Argyle back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Birdville Hawks came up short against the Argyle Eagles, falling 50-28. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while the Eagles are ranked 15th).

This is the second loss in a row for Birdville and nudges their season record down to 12-17. As for Argyle, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-5.

Birdville will face off against Aledo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Aledo will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Birdville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Argyle, they will square off against Granbury at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
