Basketball Recap: Saucon Valley Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lehighton

It's playoff time, and Saucon Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over the Lehighton Indians on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Jack Robertson was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-7 from downtown and dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Saucon Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Adam Clark, who shot 56% from the field en route to 13 points and eight boards.

Saucon Valley's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Lehighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.

Looking ahead, Saucon Valley will be taking part in a tournament against Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season. Lehighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
