While Lewiston-Altura's win against Dover-Eyota wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals won by a set and slipped past the Eagles 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Lewiston-Altura wouldn't go down easily and took Dover-Eyota into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-12, 19-25, 14-25, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Dover-Eyota had strong showings from Aubrey Foster, who had 14 digs and four aces, and Lauren Peck, who had 40 assists and 11 digs. Peck is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Kaylee Seitz also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The win got Lewiston-Altura back to even at 6-6. As for Dover-Eyota, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.

Lewiston-Altura has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Century on the 27th. As for Dover-Eyota, they will take on Plainview-Elgin-Millville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
