Baseball Recap: Deep Run Comes Up Short

Deep Run has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Atlee Raiders. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Deep Run's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Atlee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deep Run will face off against King William at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.5, the Cavaliers 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Atlee, they will take on Hanover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
