Hallsville is a perfect 6-0 against Tyler since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Hallsville Bobcats face off against Tyler Lions at 1:00 p.m. Hallsville will be strutting in after a win while Tyler will be coming in after a defeat.

Hallsville was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Nacogdoches on Friday. Hallsville blew past Nacogdoches 8-2. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Tyler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to Nacogdoches, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Tyler saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juan Higuera, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Higuera's first of the season.

Hallsville's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Tyler, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Hallsville took their victory against Tyler in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hallsville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
