Volleyball Recap: Ralston Valley Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ralston Valley waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Mead Mavericks 3-0. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mavericks, too.

Ralston Valley never let Mead on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-23.

Rylee Sonnenfeld paced Ralston Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Sonnenfeld got some help from Taylor Harteker and her 15 assists. Lily Grau controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Ralston Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Mead, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Ralston Valley will challenge Greeley West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Mead and Centaurus will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Mavericks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
