Recap: Wallkill Panthers vs. Chapel Field Christian Lions
The Wallkill Panthers were the 42-37 winner over the Chapel Field Christian Lions when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Wallkill took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chapel Field Christian.
Despite the loss, Wallkill still got an impressive performance from Michael Fanning, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was George Avila, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds.
Wallkill's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chapel Field Christian, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallkill will face off against Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapel Field Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eldred at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th.
