Recap: Huntington Highlanders vs. Parkersburg South Patriots
The Huntington Highlanders entered their tilt with the Parkersburg South Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Huntington managed a 71-65 win over Parkersburg South on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jayden Clark was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taviun Chandler, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Huntington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Parkersburg South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.
Huntington will be playing at home against Charleston Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Huntington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Charleston Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Parkersburg South, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 90-52 victory vs. Shenandoah on the 9th.
