Flag Football Recap: Highland Hawks vs. Hamilton Huskies

After flying high against Mountain Ridge on Saturday, Highland came back down to earth. The Hawks lost 40-14 to the Hamilton Huskies on Saturday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Hawks, who until this contest were averaging seven points allowed.

Despite the loss, Highland still got an impressive performance from Alexis Eley, who threw for 301 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.8% of her passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. A healthy portion of Eley's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Ela Witcher.

Hamilton's leading receiver Samaya Taylor-Jenkins was Phillips' top target yet again, picking up 148 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, Highland fell to 9-1. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
