Baseball Recap: Holtville Takes a Loss

Holtville fell victim to Brawley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 13-0. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Holtville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nico Trujillo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Trujillo snagged this season.

Holtville's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Brawley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

While Holtville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
