Riverheads is 0-10 against Staunton since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Gladiators will host the Storm at 5:30 p.m. Riverheads has given up an average of 6.7 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Riverheads is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Waynesboro, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Riverheads can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Waynesboro are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, Staunton put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Waynesboro a 3-0 shutout. Staunton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Staunton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Riverheads, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
