Volleyball Recap: Berean Christian's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday + How To Watch

Berean Christian had to endure a nine-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Alhambra Bulldogs on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Berean Christian never let Alhambra on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 27-25, 25-16.

Berean Christian found their leader in sophomore Anna McCombe, who had 21 assists and eight aces. Those eight aces set a new season-high mark for McCombe.

Berean Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

Berean Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Alhambra, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Berean Christian will head out to challenge Las Lomas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alhambra, they will venture away from home to take on Clayton Valley Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
