Pickens extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Natalie Hunter. The Blue Flame put the hurt on the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Hunter, who had 20 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

While Pickens won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 26-24.

Pickens' win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12-1.

Pickens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against David Crockett on the 26th. As for Blue Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Wren on the 27th.
