Basketball Recap: Clear Creek Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Donovan Duke and Zephyrus Schuessler

Clear Creek lost against Dawson School back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Clear Creek Golddiggers fell 51-43 to the Dawson School Mustangs. While the Golddiggers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 10-5 in the first quarter.

Clear Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Zephyrus Schuessler and Donovan Duke. Schuessler shot 44% from the field en route to 21 points along with six assists and five boards, while Duke posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Schuessler is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Clear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Dawson School, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12.

As of now, neither Clear Creek nor Dawson School have any future games scheduled.
