Basketball Recap: Shenango Comes Up Short

Shenango was the 66-59 winner over Union Area when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Shenango Wildcats opened the new year with a less-than-successful 69-57 loss to the Union Area Scotties.

Shenango dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Union Area, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Shenango will be playing in front of their home fans against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Area, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Neshannock at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
