Football Game Preview: Homer Pelicans vs. Franklin Hornets

The Homer Pelicans will face off against the Franklin Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Homer is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Homer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kevin Williams Jr., who rushed for 68 yards and three scores, and also threw for 183 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Williams Jr. a new career-high. 87 of Williams Jr.'s passing yards were hauled in by Jerzyion Levingston.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Franklin and Delcambre had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hornets came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 22-14 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

The win got Homer back to even at 5-5. As for Franklin, their record now sits at 4-5.
