Basketball Recap: Southwood Takes a Loss

Southwood lost against Bossier back in November of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southwood Cowboys took a blow against the Bossier Bearkats, falling 71-29.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lyquinton Pinkney, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Eric Fuller, who earned five points and five rebounds.

Southwood has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Bossier, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-19.

Southwood will face off against Woodlawn-Shreveport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bossier, they will take on Loyola College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bossier's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
