Baseball Preview: Warner Eagles vs. Eufaula Ironheads        
        
		
            The Warner Eagles will take on the Eufaula Ironheads at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Warner and Haskell meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Thursday. Warner came up short against  Haskell, falling  16-8. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Haymakers: they've now lost six in a row.
 Colton Swimmer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Jaxson Cash, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Warner  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .541. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an  OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
Meanwhile, Eufaula was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  9-1 to Vian.

Eufaula's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Warner hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .362. It's a different story for Eufaula, though, as  they've  only  averaged .249. Will they be able to contain Warner's hitters?
