Hamilton easily dispatched Portola last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Braves fell just short of the Durham Trojans by a score of 9-7 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Austin Studybaker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Leal, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Durham, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Hamilton will take on Williams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Durham, they will challenge Los Molinos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 12.9 runs per game this season.
