Even though Non Varsity Opponent scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, the Klawock Chieftains still came out on top. Klawock took their game against Non Varsity Opponent 73-64. That's another feather in the cap for Klawock, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Marley Kness was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with eight rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 18 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jason Skan-Allen, who scored 11 points.
Klawock's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 145-253-1.
Klawock will be playing at home against Hydaburg on Friday. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-30 win vs. Nunamiut on the 10th.
