Softball Recap: Charleston Comes Up Short

Charleston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-2 to the Riverside Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Riverside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Coming up, Charleston will challenge Strayhorn at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside, they and Cleveland Central will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Riverside's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
